developed a system to track charges generated by construction firms working on
plant expansions for Intel. System
integrated with Intel’s central accounting database on a vendor and work order
basis. Installed in

Designed and Developed an Access-based client server system to automate the tracking of Community Reinvestment Loans. The database processes approximately eighty-five thousand loan records per year. It interfaces with a mainframe system and with specialized “GeoCoding” software that validates address data.
Developed Access-based sales commission system for direct and
point-of-sale operations. Monthly
commission calculations include complex commission split arrangements,
adjustments and variable commission rates implemented in a multi-tier sales
organization.
Designed, prototyped and managed development of a Microsoft FoxPro database to
track sales contracts, design win and subsequent ship and debit to
customers. System maintained history of
pricing given to distributors when bidding on parts contracts with
manufacturers. If the distributor won
the contract, Raychem then shipped and charged product based on previously
agreed pricing up to the limits of the agreement. System also interfaced with legacy mainframe
providing data files of pricing and shipments for billing purposes.
Designed and developed a satellite telemetry tracking system for a joint project between Stanford, NASA and Lockheed designed to test Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity. The database, written in Microsoft FoxPro and running on both Mac and PC clients, maintains data on approximately 5,000 telemetry signals available from the satellite with dozens of characteristics about each.
Designed and developed an Access client server COBRA administration system containing over 400 queries, 100 data entry screens and over 50 database tables. The system produces dozens of automated letters and printed forms and tracks thousands of COBRA events for approximately 100 client organizations. Designed and developed a Section 125 Flexible Spending Account system managing dozens of client companies and thousands of employees, accept insurance claims, produce claim reimbursement reporting, write reimbursement checks and perform direct deposits into employee bank accounts.

Developed a competitive information tracking database to compare BB&T performance to other banking institutions on a regional, state and county basis.
Designed and
developed web site for

Developed intranet-based employee Training Tracking system allowing employees to view course schedules and register on-line. Also developed Microsoft Access administrative module for reporting and maintenance of the training database.
Developed Worker’s Compensation reporting system that involved Microsoft Access driving Excel via OLE to graph and analyze worker’s comp data for all County divisions and departments on a quarterly and annual basis.
Designed and
developed an environmental compliance system to monitor approximately 200
hazardous materials storage sites in the County. System was written in Microsoft FoxPro and
tracks materials stored, disposal methods, permits, EPA and State audit data. Includes custom search
engine allowing user to find sites with specified complex characteristics.
Caere Corporation
Designed, prototyped and managed development project for client-server customer telephone support system. System tracked 400,000 customers, their registration data, call history and open incidents, several dozen software products/versions with known bugs and resolution for each. Developed in Microsoft Access and SQL Server.
Developed JPAS
(Jail Population Analysis System) to provide user-friendly query and analysis
tools for
KLA/Tencor Instruments, Inc.
Designed, prototyped and managed development of a production quality control system used on the production line to record results of several dozen tests performed during the production process. System maintained history of each unit by serial number and provided graphical output comparing a unit to others in various user-specified ways. Developed in Microsoft Access.
Nellcor Incorporated
Designed QA system to control quality of parts purchased from vendors. Nellcor produces anesthesiology equipment and is closely supervised by the FDA and ISO. The QA system was designed to maintain standards for inspection at the loading dock as well as in the lab for all suppliers and track various versions of a product, deficiencies found, resolution of problems, etc.
